FLV option in VideoStudio

Does Corel VideoStudio Pro x5 support FLV out put?

Short answer no. Why not?

we may assume since Adobe dropped flash for mobile, reason behind this was due for Apple not supporting this feature.  Second, in my opinion, HTML5 will dominate.

Official response from Corel, "The file type .FLV (Flash Video) has been discontinued this 2012".

What does Corel offer?

 WebM

WebM????  WebM is an audio-video format designed to provide royalty-free, open video compression for use with HTML5 video. The project's development is sponsored by Google Inc. Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WebM

I don't see this option in share?

It's not an main option when you first click share. You will need to go to customs.

Go to Share Create Video Files -- Custom--WebM Files

Speed editing tips

I'm personally a fan of customizing my keyboard like crazy. It's far from the only way to do things, but it works for me so maybe it will for you too. If that's something you think might work, I'd say make a list of the things you find yourself going to the mouse to do frequently and see if you can assign it a button instead.

Getting around the timeline is a big one, so getting familiar with different ways of moving around is probably a quick way to go to the mouse less. Alternatively, the layout of the buttons might just not make sense to you the way they currently are (that was my issue). Maybe try moving the layout around a bit so that it just "feels better." I personally prefer keeping a function as a normal button and then it's opposite function as the shift of that same button if I can (ex. In Point = I, remove In Point = shift + I). If you're comfortable with where everything is on your keyboard you're more likely to go to the button then the mouse.

I always keep my left hand on the keyboard and my right hand on the mouse. I'm usually doing some combination of mousing and key-command. I don't think there's anything wrong with using the mouse as long as there is some sort of keyboard action happening simultaneously the majority of the time.
